March 2026 Favorites: The Things That Are Shaping My Days

March 2026 Home Decor, Living, planning, reading, etc favorites

There is something I’ve come to appreciate more and more lately…
the quiet impact of the things we bring into our lives.

Not in a loud, “look at this” kind of way.
But in the way something small can shift your day.
Make a space feel softer.
Make life feel just a little easier to move through.

March has been filled with pieces like that.

Some practical.
Some deeply personal.
Some part of the slow, ongoing transformation of my home.

All of them… meaningful in their own way.

These are the things I’ve been reaching for, living with, and loving.

A Little More Independence (for Dolly… and me)

Certain things in life quietly make everything easier… and this is one of them.

If you know me, you know Dolly is not a “resting” kind of dog. She is always working, always watching, always moving through the house like it is her responsibility to keep everything in order.

And her love of play? Endless.

This wall-mounted tug toy has been one of the best things I’ve brought into our home. It gives her something to engage with whenever she needs it; something she can pull, tug, and work at on her own.

It’s enrichment.
It’s independence.
And it gives me a moment to breathe.

And for a dog like Dolly… that matters more than anything.

The Rug I Keep Coming Back To

Boho Rug with green and terracotta tones

There are pieces you bring into a space once…
and then there are the ones you return to again and again.

This rug has become that piece for me.

I’ve purchased it four times now: two 5x7s and a runner for my camper, and now an 8×10 that will anchor my living room as it slowly comes together.

The pattern feels collected. Lived-in. Quietly beautiful without trying too hard.

But what matters just as much is how it lives.

With dogs, nothing can be too precious. It has to hold up. It has to be forgiving.

This one is.

It cleans easily, wears well, and allows life to happen on it.

And right now… that’s exactly what I need.

The Wallpaper That Changed Everything

The colors are deeper than I expected. The pattern feels almost like a story unfolding across the wall.

It’s moody. Historic. A little dramatic in the best way.

And surprisingly easy to work with; sticky enough to stay, forgiving enough to reposition.

Since putting it up, it’s the one thing everyone comments on.

And honestly… I do too.

It doesn’t just decorate the space.
It defines it.

I can’t wait to share it fully during my living room reveal.

A Design Voice That Stays With You

Certain design voices shape how you see a space.

For me, deVOL has always been one of them.

Their work is rooted in material, history, and restraint. Nothing feels forced. Everything feels intentional.

When they released a book, I didn’t hesitate.

It’s filled with their story, their spaces, and ideas that don’t just inspire a room, but shift how you think about creating one.

It’s not a book you rush through.
It’s one you return to.

And right now, that kind of inspiration feels especially meaningful.

The Best Sleep I’ve Had in Years

Some purchases you make…
and then there are the ones that quietly change your life.

This mattress is that for me.

It was easy to get up the narrow staircase of my 1891 building, something I had worried about more than I should have.

But once it settled… it became something entirely different.

Supportive without being too firm. Soft without losing structure.

The kind of comfort that lets your body actually rest.

Out of everything I’ve brought into my home this year…
this might be my favorite.

The Pencil I Cannot Live Without

I am, without question, a mechanical pencil snob.

My everyday planner is messy. Functional. Constantly evolving.

And because of that, the tool I use matters.

This pencil writes smoothly, doesn’t constantly break, and is small enough to tuck into my planner without adding bulk.

It’s simple. Unassuming.

And completely essential.

A Book That Holds a Memory

Some books become more than stories…

This is one of them.

It was a favorite of Brett’s, and one of my most cherished memories is listening to the audiobook together; quiet evenings, side by side, sharing the same story.

Later, I bought a physical copy.

Reading it felt slower. More intentional.

It carries both the story… and the memory of that time.

Some books you read.
Some books you keep.

My Favorite Place to Be

My bed is more than just a place to sleep.

For me, it’s where I read.
Where I write.
Where I think.

This pillow has made that space even better.

Supportive without collapsing. Comfortable without feeling stiff.

It’s one of those small luxuries that quietly changes how you spend your time.

My Everyday Analog Bag

Books. Planners. Pens. Notebooks.

This tote has become my go-to analog bag.

It’s oversized, washable, soft in structure, and holds everything without feeling bulky.

And for the price… it’s one of the best finds I didn’t expect to love this much.

Simple. Functional. Easy.

Exactly what I reach for every day.

These are the things that have quietly shaped my days this past month.

Not perfect things.
Not curated for a moment.

But lived with. Reached for. Returned to.

And in this season of rebuilding, my home, my routines, my life,
those are the things that matter most.

If you’ve been loving something lately, I’d love to hear about it.
