April Favorites: What I Loved Most This Month

Looking back at a month and realizing which purchases truly earned their place in daily life always feels satisfying. April was filled with projects, small comforts, practical upgrades, and a few unexpected finds that made everyday routines more enjoyable.

From One Room Challenge progress in my historic apartment to books, planning tools, and helpful essentials, these are the items I reached for most this month.

1. O-Cedar RinseClean Spin Mop & Bucket System

If you are cleaning old floors, painted floors, hardwood, or large spaces, this was my MVP of April.

I used this constantly while working on my living room refresh. The clean-water system makes such a difference, especially when tackling renovation dust and everyday grime. It feels far more effective than traditional mops, and the spin feature saves your back.

Why I love it:
Clean water stays clean; easy to use; excellent for old homes.

2. Gravity Falls – Dipper’s Hat

A favorite of Brandon’s this month.

He liked it so much he ordered two, which says everything. If you love Gravity Falls or fun nostalgic pieces, this was a hit in our house.

Why we love it:
Comfortable; fun fandom item; Brandon-approved.

3. Murphy Oil Soap Concentrated Formula Wood Cleaner

A classic for a reason.

Between old woodwork, floors, and historic-home living, this earned its place in my cleaning supplies this month. My original floors have never looked better!

Why I love it:
Reliable; smells nostalgic; excellent for wood surfaces.

4.SUNEE 2026 Daily Planner A5 Hardcover – Hourly Schedule

Also known as my “Hobonichi Cousin dupe.” This is the closest I’ve found!

As someone who loves planners, journals, and analog routines, this was an exciting find. It gives that structured daily planning feel without the premium price point.

Why I love it:
Beautiful format; hourly planning; affordable alternative.

5. Ekena Millwork Benson Classic Ceiling Medallion

This one transformed my room.

I used these medallions in my living room makeover, and they instantly added character and old-world charm. In historic spaces, architectural detail matters.

Why I love it:
Elegant; dramatic; makes ceilings feel special.

6. Multi-Purpose Hard Bristle Crevice Cleaning Brush

If you own a house, you need these.

This little brush handled trim grooves, corners, window tracks, grout lines, and every impossible-to-clean crevice in my 1891 building. I genuinely wish I had bought them sooner.

Why I love it:
Small but mighty; oddly satisfying; perfect for detail cleaning.

7. Roman’s E-Z Hang Peel & Stick Wallpaper Helper

Wallpapering can test your patience. This helped save mine.

I used this during my One Room Challenge project and it made peel-and-stick wallpaper much easier to position and smooth. Less frustration is always worth celebrating.

Why I love it:
Makes wallpapering easier; helpful for beginners; less stress.

8. Her Last Breath by Taylor Adams

One of my favorite reads this month.

Fast-paced, intense, and impossible to put down. If you enjoy thrillers that keep your heart racing, this one delivered.

Why I love it:
Suspenseful; addictive; pulled me out of a reading slump.

9. Wireless Earbuds Bluetooth 5.4 Headphones with LED Display

Unexpectedly great.

I used these while painting, cleaning, and working around the house. Affordable tech that actually performs always deserves a mention.

Why I love them:
Easy connection; convenient; perfect for productivity days.

April reminded me that favorite purchases do not have to be glamorous. Sometimes they are the tools that help you rebuild a room, clean a space, stay organized, escape into a book, or simply enjoy everyday life a little more.

What have you loved lately? I’m always influenced by practical favorites, beautiful finds, and anything that makes life feel easier or more meaningful.
